Toppings

Fries - For the fries I like to use potatoes seasoned with paprika for a hint of smoky spice, or opt for store-bought if you're in a hurry. Either way, these fries add the perfect crispy element to your cheeseburger meatball bowls.

Instructions
Preparation

- Step 1: Begin by prepping all your fresh ingredients. Slice the potatoes into fries (if you're making them from scratch), chop the baby tomatoes and pickles, and slice the red onion and lettuce. If you’re making fries, soak the sliced potatoes in a bowl of iced water to remove excess starch and ensure crispiness.

- Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef mince, parmesan, breadcrumbs, ketchup, mustard, and an egg. Mix everything until well incorporated. This combination will give the meatballs their signature cheeseburger flavor.

- Step 3: Take a small ball of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a cube of cheddar cheese in the center, then close the meat around the cheese and roll it into a smooth ball. Repeat until you have around 16-18 meatballs. Refrigerate the meatballs for about 10-15 minutes to help them firm up.

- Step 4: If you're making fries, drain the soaked potatoes and toss them in olive oil, salt, and paprika. Cook them in the air fryer at 180°C for 20-25 minutes, shaking halfway through. Alternatively, you can bake them in the oven at 200°C for around 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crisping.

- Step 1: While the fries are cooking, heat some olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear the meatballs, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook them for about 10 minutes, turning frequently so all sides get browned and crispy. If you prefer, you can bake the meatballs in the oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

- Step 2: Once the meatballs and fries are done, it’s time to build your cheeseburger bowls. Start with a bed of fresh lettuce, then layer on the chopped tomatoes, sliced red onion, pickles, and fries. Add the juicy cheeseburger meatballs on top, and finish everything with a generous drizzle of burger sauce.
Hint: For crispy, golden meatballs, make sure to sear them well in a hot pan. This adds a delicious crust and locks in juices, ensuring the inside remains tender and cheesy. I recommend not overcrowding the pan for even browning.
